Congratulations Arlo! Our August 2026 Cat of the Month winner!!- Get to Know Me!

What’s your full name? Mr Arlo Ferguson Ross!

How old are you?

I am 1 year and 8 months old!

Do you have any cute nicknames? Oh gosh where to begin! Mum calls me PeeWee a lot, which then changed into Moosh, and recently it’s been Mooshes Von Smooshes! Dad just calls me Sir and Buddy!

Where did you come from / how did you find your forever home?

Mum and Dad drove a few towns over and picked me up from a lady that had a noisy house full of cats and chihuahuas. There was so many smelly candles burning that it made my eyes weepy! She posted me on gumtree and my mum messaged straight away to come get me!

How would you describe your personality in three words?

Starving, Round, Mischievous

What’s your absolute favourite food or treat?

Oh that would be a tie between tinned mackerel in spring water, and freeze dried chicken cubes!

What’s your favorite thing to do?

I like to climb into places I shouldn’t for attention, mums lava lamps, and dads pc are never safe on my watch, I must always be touching them!

Where’s your favorite place to nap?

My cat tree by the livingroom window. I love the breeze and being able to keep an eye on the pigeon that comes to visit!

What’s your favorite toy?

Not any of the toys in my basket - no, no! It’s the lollipop sticks from my purrpops! (Don’t tell mum but they’re all under the living room rug)

What’s the funniest or cheekiest thing you do?

After I poop I love to rub my paws on the bathroom walls to ‘cover’ my business. Really I’m removing the kitty litter from my toes and I know how much dad hates it because I might ‘scratch the walls’

Do you have any funny little quirks or habits?

If I get asked ‘are you hungry? Want some din dins?’ I scream and start spinning in circles on the kitchen floor. I like to think Mum will feed me faster if I give her a performance  What’s your favorite thing about your human?

My mum is always napping so I get to have duvet days with her a lot. She also always gives me snacks and my dad (who didn’t want a cat mind you) always plays with me on the floor and lets me get involved with changing the bed which is one of my favourite things!

What’s one thing your human would say makes you so special?

Mum says I’m such a good natured boy, but I have my little ‘goblin moments’ - whatever that means!

If you could tell the world one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would say I am a white cat, but I am not by any means a plain cat!

And finally… what does winning Cat of the Month mean to you?

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy! I’m glad other people liked me as much as my mum and dad do! I am very grateful to be chosen as the winner considering how lovely the other entrants were. I hope they all got cuddles and treats for entering!
