October 'COTM' Winner - Barney and

Congratulations to our first two brothers Barney and Joey for winning our 'Cat Of The Month' competition for October! 🎉🏆

How does it feel to win our October cat of the month competition?

We are over the moon!!! We are excited as it is rather fitting for Halloween!! Black cats are often underrepresented which is a shame because in our owners eyes they are the best. We would like to raise awareness for the amount of black cats that are in animal shelters and we would like to encourage you to consider adopting a black cat. We have the best personalities. Black cats are nearly THREE TIMES more likely to come into RSPCA care than any other coat colour, according to new figures released by the RSPCA.

 

What are your favourite things to do?

Our favourite thing to do is to lay together on a nice fluffy blanket. We also love to follow our owner and the dog Benji around on walks. We get a lot of attention from dog walkers as we like to follow our owners around! We also like to scare our owners by bringing in an array of treats… such as mice, bats, birds and frogs.

 

Can you recommend a tasty treat for your fellow felines?

We love dreamies creamies! But also love the dreamies pieces.

 

How old are you and where did you both come from?

We are both nearly 10 years old and we are brothers! We were adopted at the same time from the area of Salisbury. We have lived in Portsmouth for our whole lives and spend a lot of it outside interacting with the other cats in our local area.

 

 

How is life going living with your companions?

We love living with our companions, we are very loved and spoiled. We also like being able to follow our brother Benji the Cocker Spaniel on his dog walks.

 

 

Which character out of the 'Nine Lives' collection can you relate to the most?

Joey would be Odysseus and Barney would be Boudicca.
